BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — City officials are warning residents to watch out for road closures ahead of the weekend, as they respond to a water main break effecting several streets.
The city says that the break occured at the intersection of Capitol Avenue SW and Langley Road. It will require for crews to shutoff water to area residents and close portions of roadway until later on Friday.
Capitol Avenue SW will be closed from Hamilton Lane to Beckwith Drive from 9 P.M. Thursday until an unspecified time on Friday.
Crews will also be installing new valves and reevaluating water infrastructure along the intersection. Water shutoffs begin at 11 P.M. Thursday and are expected to last for several hours.
Residents and businesses on Hamilton Lane West, Mason Road, Dunham Drive, Adams Road, and Langley Road West can expect to be affected by the shutoffs.
