MIDDLEVILLE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A man accused of robbing a Barry County bank is now being formally charged.
On Monday, 55-year-old Gilbert Noel was arraigned on a charge of robbery for the incident at Chemical Bank in Middleville on November 26th.
He walked into the bank on Arlington Street that afternoon, demanded cash from the tellers, and took off in a gray sedan.
Noel was caught a day later, thanks to tips from citizens.
Barry County Sheriff deputies thanked “the many citizens who provided informationand the community of Middleville for their assistance in this incident.”
Noel was given a $500-thousand dollar cash/surety bond.
