KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo could be getting a Chick-fil-A of its own on the far western edge of town.
On Monday night Kalamazoo City Commissioners accepted a rezoning request for a parcel at 604 Drake Road, which is just across the street from Westmain Shopping Center and would become part of the Westwood Plaza complex.
It had been residential, but the house on the lot was demolished.
The City Manager’s memo does not include the name of the restaurant, but the concept plan supplied in the commission packet does.
They will consider the rezoning request for final approval on the 15th.
