CONSTANTINE (WKZO) — He is the prime suspect in the murder of an 11-year-old girl, but all that police have been able to pin on Raymond McCann so far is a few lies.
They went ahead and charged him with five felony perjury charges. In a plea bargain four of them disappeared and now so will most of the remaining sentence of 20-months to 20-years, because he has already served most of it waiting for this case to come to trial.
McCann was a reserve Police Officer on the night Jodi Parrack was strangled, and her body left in the cemetery near Constantine.
The victim’s family members say the fact that McCann lied and that Jodi appeared to have handcuff marks on her wrists points at McCann, but so far the Prosecutor says its not enough.
McCann will serve about 8 more months before he will be a free man.
