KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Western Michigan University has received a state grant to help fight opioid abuse on campus.
The state Department of Health and Human Services is providing the money, which will allow WMU students to participate in hands-on education and training regarding opioid abuse and identify those who need urgent help.
A letter from U.S. Representative Fred Upton in April of this year requested the funds for Western to use to assist in the battle against opioid abuse.
