CASSOPOLIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Chalk another one up for mans’ best friend, or Cass County K-9 “Faust”. The furry force companion helped Cass County deputies track down two people who broke into a home on Hoffman Road in Penn Township around 5 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities say two suspects broke into the home and fought with the homeowners while a third suspect used pepper spray. Two of the suspects then fled the scene and made it about four and a half miles before being tracked down by “Faust”.
A 19 Year old Male from Edwardsburg, Michigan and a 30 Year old Female from Niles, Michigan were taken into custody with charges including Resisting and Obstructing Police Officers and Aggravated Assault.
A third subject at the scene was also taken into custody for outstanding warrants.
This is an ongoing investigation and the subjects names will not be released until they are arraigned in the Cass County Court.
