KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo Public School District is planning to expand the free breakfast and lunch programs to 24 schools in the district.
The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program allows the district to offer the two free meals for almost every student in the district, without an application.
The schools being added to the list this school year include Indian Prairie, Kin-Westwood, Parkwood-Upjohn, and Winchell elementary schools…and Hillside, Linden Grove, and Maple Street middle schools.
The total number of district school in the CEP now numbers 24.
