AUGUSTA, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Barn Theatre in Augusta will be holding its final stage production of the season this week with its version of Evil Dead: The Musical.
Based on the 80’s horror film starring Bruce Campbell, Evil Dead follows the story of a group of friends being attacked by demons in a remote cabin. Campbell’s character Ash Williams will be portrayed by Barn Theater actor Jonnie Carpathios.
According to an official press release, the film has been adapted for the theatre stage many times since 2003, with the cast album debuting at number four on the Billboard Show Charts.
Performances of Evil Dead: The Musical begin Tuesday and will run through to September 1st. A special American Sign Language interpreted performance will take place on Thursday, August 29th.
Tickets range from $39-$48 for adults and $25 for children 12 and under. The theater notes that the performance has been rated “R.” Group rates are available.
