KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity’s 210th homeowner family will be dedicating their new home Wednesday evening.
The new house is located at 514 Wallace St. Kalamazoo MI 49048, and will enjoy a debut celebration open to the public.
Thanks to the Education for Employment’s Construction Trades Program, the home is the result of work by EFE students through the 18-19 school year in addition to over 200 volunteers.
According to an official press release, the three bedroom, one bathroom house will be purchased by a qualified Habitat home buyer who helped build it.
The house is expected to save thousands of dollars in energy costs over the next 30 years.
The public celebration will take place from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday evening with a dedication ceremony taking place at 6:30.
