TEXAS TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A boil water advisory is in place for a subdivision in Texas Township.
A contractor hit a line on West Q Avenue on Tuesday which resulted in a temporary loss of pressure as Kalamazoo City crews worked to repair the line.
Because of this local health officials issued a precautionary boil water advisory for homeowners in the Barrington Shores Subdivision as well the area of West Q Avenue from South 6th Street to South 5th Street.
The advisory is for Kalamazoo city water customers only and crews hope to have everything tested and fixed by Friday.
The exact affected area is:
- Barony Pointe – From West “Q” Avenue (northern boundary) to Brighten Trails (southern boundary), both sides of the street.
- Brandon Circle – From Barony Pointe (western boundary) to Bainbridge Drive (eastern boundary), both sides of the street.
- Thornwood Pointe – From Barony Pointe (eastern boundary) west to dead end of Thornwood Pointe (western boundary), both sides of the street.
- Bainbridge Drive – From Barony Pointe (eastern boundary) to South 6th Street (western boundary), both sides of the street.
- Wyndwood Pointe – From Barony Pointe (eastern boundary) west to dead end of Wyndwood Pointe (western boundary), both sides of the street.
- Parkstone Terrace – From Bainbridge Drive (northern boundary) to Barony Pointe (southern boundary), both sides of the street.
- Grapevine Terrace – From Parkstone Terrace (northern boundary) to Parkstone Terrace (southern boundary), both sides of the street.
- Vinewood Pointe – From Barony Pointe (southern boundary) north to dead end of Vinewood Pointe (northern boundary), both sides of the street.
- Brighten Trails – From Barony Pointe (western boundary) east to dead end of Brighten Trails (eastern boundary), both sides of the street.
- Tawney Pointe – From Parkstone Terrace (northern boundary) south to dead end of Tawney Pointe (southern boundary), both sides of the street.
