KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — This Thursday marks the final day participants have to enter the Public Bike Art Prize competition through Bike Friendly Kalamazoo.
The grand prize winner will receive a cash award of $1750, plus have their work displayed publicly on lightposts in Kalamazoo.
According to an official press release, the theme for entries is meant to capture the “joy of bicycling in Southwest Michigan.”
Once the deadline has passed, a specially created team of judges will work together to decide the grand prize winner. In addition, public voting will be available for a “people’s choice” award.
The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 22nd in the Village of Vicksburg with a location to be determined.
