KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Gull Meadow Farms in northern Kalamazoo County is doing its part to make sure everyone can have an enjoyable experience.
The Richland Township farm announced on Facebook earlier this week that they are now sensory certified.
Parents who have children with sensory needs can pick up a special bag at no extra cost that contains a card for non-verbal children, fidget toys, noise canceling headphones, and more to help them have fun in a sometimes hectic environment.
They will aslo have special sensory-friendly nights on September 9th and October 14th from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

We are thrilled to announce that Gull Meadow Farms is now Sensory Certified! We have partnered with KultureCity to improve our ability to assist and accommodate guests with sensory needs. Our objective is to provide an inclusive and seamless experience for all guests, for all events, including those with sensory needs. We strive to raise awareness of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with sensory processing disorders by supplying our Team Members with continuous training and by offering the resources and accommodations below to our guests.
SENSORY BAGSSensory bags containing special KCVIP badges, fidget tools, noise canceling headphones and other resources are available for checkout (at no cost by leaving an ID) at our Season Pass Holder/Pre-purchase tickets window located near the entrance to Pumpkin Lane. Weighted lap pads are also available upon request (at no cost by leaving an ID) at the same location.
