CASSOPOLIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that sent a vehicle into a house.
It happened Friday around 4:30 pm on Marcellus Highway at the intersection of Decatur Roadd in Volinia Township.
68 year old Wayne Christenson from Granger, IN was north bound on Decatur Road when he failed to stop at the signed intersection and collided with an oncoming west bound vehicle driven by 65 year old John Wood of Dowagiac. Mr. Wood’s vehicle then left the roadway and collided with a house.
Mr. Wood was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Mr. Christenson was treated and released.
Authorities report that alcohol was not a factor and that seat belts were used. This case remains under investigation.
