PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A teen girl who has been missing from Portage for almost 2-weeks is now safe.
14-year-old Makaileigh Jo Soltis was last seen around 10 p.m. September 12th at her home in Portage and when her mom went to check her room the next morning she was gone.
After an extensive search by Portage Public Safety officers, Michigan State Police, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Soltis was found hiding in a basement at a home in Portage around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday September 24th.
She was unharmed and has been reunited with her family. No other information was released.
