KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Promise will expand in the fall of 2027 to include Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
The Promise is a scholarship program that gives all Kalamazoo Public Schools graduates up to 100% paid tuition for their college education.
CEO Von Washington Jr. says HBCUs for generations “have educated and developed some of the nation’s most influential leaders” and offer “exceptional academic opportunities, strong communities, and a rich history of preparing graduates to lead and make an impact.”
The Kalamazoo Promise is currently available for all colleges and universities in Michigan.
