COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo County Road Commission has announced that there will be a railroad crossing closure in Comstock Township beginning Thursday, Oct. 3rd.
The area affected will include 28th Street – K Avenue to Michigan Avenue and 30th Street – K Avenue to Michigan Avenue. Citizens are expected to follow posted detour routes.
“This information is made available to assist motorists in planning for construction delays,” Joanna Johnson, Managing Director of the Road Commission said. “Motorists are reminded to be alert,slow down,stay informed, and be cautious when approaching a work zone.”
The crossing is being closed due to railroad improvement procedures by Amtrak.
The closure will begin Thursday, Oct. 3rd and is expected to reopen on Thursday, Oct. 10th.
