OTSEGO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A fire at Dix Street Elementary in Otsego last evening has resulted in classes there being canceled today.
The fire department was called around 5:40 p.m. when the janitor noticed an active fire.
The staff members who were still at the school were able to safely evacuate.
Otsego Public Schools superintendent Christie Robinson says they are thankful no students were in the building at the time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
