KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Bronson Healthcare officials are encouraging people to get their annual flu vaccine.
It’s recommended for everyone who is at least six-months-old and can help reduce the risk of becoming seriously ill. People who are pregnant or have chronic health conditions are especially urged to get a flu shot.
Flu season normally starts in early October and extends into May, with cases peaking oftentimes during the winter.
Bronson offers flu vaccines throughout the fall and winter at many primary care offices. Patients with an upcoming primary care appointment can ask about receiving a flu vaccine, COVID-19 booster or other recommended vaccines during that visit. Many Bronson primary care offices also offer vaccine-only appointments, and patients should call their office to check availability.
