KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo police are investigating a shooting that took place Thursday afternoon.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 700 block of South Howard Street at around 2:30 p.m. and located a victim inside a home suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. On scene, several witnesses reported a rolling gun battle between two vehicles. During the gunfire, bullets appeared to have struck a residence in the area, entered the home, and struck the victim who had been located with injuries. A second victim arrived at a local hospital a short time later, also suffering from a gunshot wound.
Both victims are still being treated for what are described as non-life threatening injuries.
