COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Comstock Public Schools is opening the district’s first new school in over 50 years as they held a ribbon cutting yesterday at the new STEM Academy building.
The school is officially open for students on East Main Street next to Comstock Elementary School. Voters approved a bond for the school in 2022, and construction began in 2024.
Teachers say they are looking forward to the new school, noting it’s much bigger than the former East Elementary that has been home to Comstock’s STEM program and has air conditioning.
