KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – MLive Media Group says the Kalamazoo Gazette and seven other newspapers they run in Michigan will cease to be printed after December 6th.
Officials say the decision is the “next step” in their digital evolution and add “over 99%” of readers get their news online.
Community president John Hiner says the journalists working for the newspaper group will keep their jobs, but the company says the newspaper delivery people will lose theirs.
MLive prints the Ann Arbor News, Bay City Times, Grand Rapids Press, Flint Journal, Jackson Citizen-Patriot, Kalamazoo Gazette, Muskegon Chronicle, and Saginaw Times.
