KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Local burger restaurant Nonla Burger will be hosting a two-year anniversary party this weekend.
As part of the celebration, the establishment will be hosting a burger eating contest that includes a cash prize, along with a trophy. The goal of the contest is to eat as many burgers as possible within 10 minutes.
Those interested in participating can sign up by emailing contact@nonlaburger.com or by sending a message to the official Facebook page. The restaurant asks that only serious inquiries be sent.
In the two years that Nonla Burger has been open in Kalamazoo, the establishment has seen a surge in popularity. Earlier this year, WFKR held a county-wide poll for the best burger in Kalamazoo, with Nonla coming out on top out of 30 other restaurants.
At the time of this writing, Nonla Burger also sits at the top of the best burgers in Kalamazoo list on Yelp.
The celebration will begin at 11:30 a.m. this Sunday, October 20th, and will last until 3:30 p.m.
Attractions will include specials, a bounce house, and a DJ. Additional parking is available across the street at Woodwards Garage/Auto body.
