NILES, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Detectives with the Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) announced Wednesday that one man from Niles has been arrested on multiple drug charges.
Detectives executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of Phoenix Street, where they located over an ounce of cocaine, an unregistered pistol and other evidence of drug trafficking.
A 47-year-old male from Niles was arrested at the scene for delivering/manufacturing cocaine and maintaining a drug house. Charges will be sought on other subjects who were present during the search warrant.
SWET detectives said that they began this investigation after receiving a tip of suspected narcotics trafficking in the area.
SWET was assisted by the Niles Police Department, Berrien County Tactical Response Unit, Berrien County Sheriff’s road patrol and the Michigan State Police Niles Post.
