PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Police are reporting that one suspect has been arrested in connection to an August 2018 robbery of the Helzberg Diamond store in Portage, MI.
Demond Antonio Manley Jr. is one of the three alleged suspects accused of participating in the smash-and-grab style robbery. DNA evidence linked Manley to the scene, as well as other robberies in Lansing, Saginaw, and Ft. Wayne, IN.
Reports indicate that the robbery totalled over $80,000 in stolen merchandise from the Portage location alone.
Manley was arrested on October 17th and could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted of the crimes.
