BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An 18-year-old Battle Creek resident is facing possible charges of possessing a machine gun and possession of an unregistered short-barreled rifle.
Battle Creek police carried out a search warrant Friday in the 200 block of Graves Street in an ongoing firearms investigation and recovered an AR-15 rifle with a shortened barrel and no stock along with a large amount of ammunition.
The teenager associated with the search was not home when police raided the house.
Police will send the case to the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office for review and no other information has been released.
