BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Judge Jason Bomia is moving from the District Court to the Circuit Court bench in Calhoun County .
Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced the appointment of Bomia to the 37th Circuit Court to fill a partial term following the resignation of Judge Brian K. Kirkham.
Judge Bomia has been the chief judge on the 10th District Court in Calhoun County, where he has served since 2019. Judge Bomia previously served as an attorney at Schroeder DeGraw, PLLC.
Judge Bomia is a life member of the Battle Creek Chapter of the NAACP and is the past president of the Calhoun County Bar Association. Bomia is also president-elect of the District Judges Association and serves on the board of Goodwill Industries of Central Michigan’s Heartland.
His term will expire January 1, 2029.
