CENTREVILLE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office says one of its corrections deputies was arrested Tuesday and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail.
Sheriff Chad Spence says the criminal investigation is being conducted by the Three Rivers Police Department. The deputy has not yet been arraigned.
Spence says because this is an active investigation and pending criminal matter, the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office will not comment on the facts of the case or any pending court proceedings.
Per Sheriff’s Office policy, the deputy has been placed on paid administrative leave pending administrative review.
At this time, no additional information is being released by the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.
