KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Assistant Secretary of State Heaster Wheeler will be making a presentation in Kalamazoo for an educational workshop this week.
According to an official press release, the workshop is meant to help anyone interested in learning about Michigan’s new voting rights under Proposal 3.
It is also an opportunity for anyone who wishes to submit an application to serve on the Citizens Redistricting Commission created under Proposal 2. A notary will be on site during the workshop to notarize applications.
The press release also notes that the MI Secretary of State’s office is the main sponsor of this event, and is holding similar events around the state. League of Women Voters of the Kalamazoo Area is one of several co-hosts, and there are numerous community co-sponsors.
The event will take place Thursday, November 14 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at El Concilio, which is located at 930 Lake St. Kalamazoo, MI 49001.
