KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says it’s looking for 45-year-old man for questioning in several assaults Tuesday.
KDPS says Darius Dagonne Williams is also wanted in relation to an active child support warrant.
Around 4:40 p.m. Wednesday officers received reports of a male who had been assaulted with a knife near North Edwards Street and West Ransom Street. The victim sustained a laceration to his face and was treated at a local hospital for his injuries. The suspect fled the scene after the assault.
Later that same night around 9:26 p.m, officers received reports of a second assault in the same area. During the second assault, three male victims sustained serious lacerations.
They were treated at local hospitals for their injuries. The suspect fled the scene after the second assault as well.
Police say at this time, it appears Williams as well as the victims in these incidents are members of the unhoused community.
Williams is described as a Black male, 45 years old, 6’ 2″, 190 pounds, and last seen wearing black shorts and a white tank top.
