KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — One man is in custody after police responded to a stabbing in Kalamazoo Township.
Kalamazoo Township police responded to a call and arrived at 3:45 P.M. Monday November 18th to Commonwealth Avenue. Thats where they found an injured man lying on the ground, who was later identified as the suspect.
Officer found another man injured from stab wounds at the same location. Both were transported to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The 31-year-old suspect was taken into custody after being treated for his wounds and was lodged in the Kalamazoo County jail.
Police say they believe the incident is isolated and the the suspect poses no larger threat to the public.
It is unclear what the motive behind the stabbing was.
Investigators are reviewing the case and will submit any possible charges to the Kalamazoo County Prosecutors office for consideration.
The name of the suspect and victim have not been released at this time.
