KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The local chapter of the YWCA recently announced that several awards honoring area women are open for nomination.
YWCA Kalamazoo is seeking nominations for multiple categories including the 36th annual Woman of Achievement award, YWCA Lifetime Woman of Achievement, and the Dorothy I.Height Award for Social Justice Innovation.
After nominations are submitted, an independent board will review all of the candidates.
The previous winner of the lifetime achievement award, Pamela Enslen, was selected for her professional work in the legal field and actions she took to help the local community.
The YWCA also announced that their awards ceremony celebration will take place at the Radisson Plaza Hotel. The ceremony is set for April 30th, 2020.
