KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Court records say the death in November 2025 of a three-month-old boy in Kalamazoo named Brooklyn was caused by an overdose of the active ingredient in Benadryl.
Tristan Sigsbee, the boy’s mother, says there was no reason to give her son Benadryl.
Tonette Sigsbee is charged with involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence in the child’s death.
Tonette married Tristan’s cousin and was Brooklyn’s caregiver.
Tristan says she was at work when the boy died.
