KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The upper level residents of Wildwood Off Main apartments in Kalamazoo Township are being told by management they have to evacuate because stairways and decks are unsafe.
Kalamazoo Township Supervisor David Combs says, however, they and Kalamazoo County will not enforce the evacuation orders and says management is bullying residents.
Combs says there is a “tiff between KABA and the management company because the owners of the management company have not kept their buildings up to code.”
KABA, or the Kalamazoo Area Building Authority, condemned the Wildwood Off Main apartment complex on May 7th after getting complaints from residents about conditions there.
