PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Vice President Mike Pence flew out of Washington and landed at the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport on Wednesday, leaving behind growing problems in the Nation’s Capitol.
House Democrats approved an Impeachment report on Tuesday, the latest in a series of problems for the Trump Administration as they try to mount a reelection campaign.
Pence, the former Governor of Indiana, a mid-westerner with more traditional Republican views might get a warmer reception than the President in West Michigan.
Still the three city bus tour does not include any access by reporters to the Vice President, who was scheduled to meet privately with clergy and selected local leaders in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Holland.
Vice President Pence will also host a “Keep America Great” President Trump reelection campaign with former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in Holland beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The visit will be Pence’s third stop in Michigan this year.
Our sister station, WHTC, will have ongoing coverage of Pence’s Holland visit on their website.
