HASTINGS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Visitors of all sizes are invited to enjoy a dozen of free holiday-themed events this weekend at Hasting’s “Jingle and Mingle” event.
Festivities begin on Friday, December 6th with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at 6:15 P.M. on E. State Street between Hastings City Hall and library.
Carriage rides and trips on the Holly Jolly Trolly will be offered from 6-9 P.M., and visitors can get a chance to meet with Santa Claus himself at Dick’s Barber Shop on 121 S Jefferson Street during the same time period.
On Saturday the Santa Dash 5k Run will take place beginning at 10 A.M., followed by numerous activities such as cookies with Santa at the Hastings Public Library and a holiday workshop at the Barry County Enrichment Center rom 2-4 P.M.
Holiday fun topping off the weekend on Sunday include a reindeer petting zoo on State and Jefferson Streets from 11 A.M.- 3 P.M. and a candy cane hunt for small children at 1 P.M. in front of the Barry County Courthouse.
