COMSTOCK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a single-vehicle crash sent one driver to the hospital.
Police say that on Monday morning around 10 a.m., deputies responded to the area of H Ave., near 28th street in Comstock Township for a call about a vehicle that had struck a tree.
Comstock Fire and Rescue personnel, along with LIFE EMS, responded to the scene to treat the injured driver.
The driver was the only person involved in the crash and was transported to Bronson Hospital for his injuries. Currently, he is in critical condition.
Police say the vehicle was traveling east on H Ave and crossed over the centerline, went into oncoming traffic and ran off the roadway into a tree.
The name of the driver is not being released at this time while police continue to investigate.
