KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — In Kalamazoo, a portion of East Michigan avenue will be closed down for emergency repairs to a sewer line.
The stretch between Phelps and Wallace Avenues will be shut down from Tuesday, December 10th until Friday, December 13th as work gets underway on repairing sewage infrastructure.
Sidewalks will still remain open for pedestrians and cyclists. City officials say that existing sewage lines connecting to homes along the streets will remain active.
A detour will be set up redirecting cars onto East Main Street for those heading east, and North Sprinkle Road for those driving westbound.
