KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — God’s Kitchen of Michigan has announced the dates for their annual free community Christmas Dinners.
Attending citizens should note that, due to separate fundraising goals, both event menus will be slightly different from each other.
The first event will take place in Kalamazoo at the Douglass Community Association Meal Site, located at 1000 W. Patterson St. on Wednesday, Dec. 18th. This event will last from 4:30 to 5:30.
The second event will take place in Battle Creek on Thursday, Dec. 19th at First United Methodist Church Meal Site, located at 111 East Michigan Avenue, Battle Creek, Michigan 49014.
Both events will feature appearances from Santa and Mrs. Claus, plus former American Idol Matt Giraud as a special guest. Giraud has previously worked with God’s Kitchen events.
Additionally, toys will be given away to all children while supplies last.
Both events are free and open to the public. No income or identification is required to attend.
Last month, God’s Kitchen almost cancelled its annual Thanksgiving community dinner, but reinstated it after public donations were received.
