KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Three people are in custody after a traffic stop led to the seizure of guns and drugs in Kalamazoo’s West Douglas Neighborhood.
Public Safety officers pulled over a vehicle in the 1400 block of Alamo Avenue, west of Douglas Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and found that the three Kalamazoo men inside all had outstanding warrants.
During a search officers recovered two semi-automatic handguns, one which was reported stolen, and packaged crack cocaine.
A 32-year-old was charged with felon in possession of a firearm, possession of cocaine, and receiving and concealing charges, a 28-year-old was charged with possession of cocaine along with an outstanding felony warrant, and a 27-year-old was charged with felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon along with an outstanding warrant.
