KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The city of Kalamazoo and the Kalamazoo Foundation for Excellence are looking for qualified community members to serve on their mutual Investment Committees.
The committees provide oversight and strategic guidance for investment policies and portfolio management related to the city’s employee pension plans and the FFE’s permanent endowment.
Applicants need to have substantive professional background in finance, accounting, economics, investment management, or a related field; cannot be a city of Kalamazoo retiree; and cannot be employed by or affiliated with any organization that provides investment management, advisory, custodial, or similar services to the committee.
The committee meets for half a day quarterly, with occasional subcommittee participation, due diligence meetings, and additional meetings as needed.
Applications are due by May 11th, and people need to select which Investment Committee they are applying to serve.
