KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The annual Hanukkah celebration has begun in downtown Kalamazoo’s Bronson Park.
Each year, Hanukkah is recognized in Bronson Park by lighting the candles of a menorah. Two candles were lit Sunday night. An additional candle will be lit at 6 p.m. each day for the next week.
The Sunday, Dec. 22nd opening ceremony drew a large crowd. Members of the Jewish community in Kalamazoo are reportedly pleased with the display.
Hanukkah will end on Monday, Dec. 30th.
