KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The school year is entering the home stretch and Kalamazoo Public Schools superintendent Darrin Slade says they plan to hold a series of year-end meetings over the next two months to meet with the community, starting today.
Dr. Slade says rather than hold one in each school as they did last year, this time they will hold them in areas of the district.
The aim is to talk about what happened this year and what they would like to see improved in the future.
Today’s sessions will be held at Hillside Middle School at 4:30 p.m. and include parents, teachers and staff from Kalamazoo Central High School.
Then at 6 p.m., they will begin again at King-Westwood Elementary, and hear from those at Indian Prairie, Northglade Montessori and Woodward School.
Additional meetings have also been scheduled for April 20th, May 4th and May 13th. Details are at the district’s website.
