BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Battle Creek police have recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested a suspect Thursday evening after coordinating with a victim who reported the vehicle had been listed for sale online.
Around 6 p.m. on March 26, officers were contacted by a victim from Eaton Rapids who reported their vehicle had been stolen from their garage the previous week.
Police arranged a meeting with the victim and the seller and coordinated the response of several units.
The suspect arrived at a gas station near Raymond Road and Michigan Avenue and was arrested.
The victim and the suspect, who is a 32-year-old man from Ionia County, know each other.
The suspect was arrested on multiple charges related to the stolen vehicle, as well as outstanding warrants, and was lodged at the Calhoun County Jail.
