WASHINGTON (WKZO AM/FM) — It’s the wave of the future and you can either run and hide or grab a surf-board.
Self-driving cars will be the next big thing, and Michigan Senator Gary Peters says one of his legislative priorities as Congress gets back to work is legislation to facilitate their development, and as much as possible, make sure it happens in Michigan.
The idea of taking your hands off the steering wheel and leaving it to a computer makes a lot of people queasy, but Peters says if we don’t do it, the Europeans or Japanese will.
Governor Snyder has just left Michigan to spend a couple of days at the Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas to promote the M-City Test facility, and the other programs Michigan is offering to promote the technology.
