Power was restored to all customers at 11:03 a.m.
KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Around 10,000 homes and businesses in the Kalamazoo area are without power as of 10:00 a.m. Thursday.
Consumers Energy says the outage happened at 9:08 a.m. due to an equipment issue at a local substation. They say crews are actively performing restoration repairs and expect to restore power to customers by 12:00 p.m.
Western Michigan University closed for the remainder of the day.
