KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Downtown Kalamazoo will be a lot different in a few years as the city is planning to turn Kalamazoo Avenue from one-way to two-way.
That work could start later this year after the city commission approved the first phase of the project this week.
City traffic engineer Dennis Randolph says the work might be able to start in July to make Kalamazoo Avenue two-ways from Harrison Street to Douglas Avenue.
The city also plans to convert Michigan Avenue to two-ways in a few years.
