FLOWERFIELD TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) –The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department has announced that it’s looking for a hit and run driver who struck another car in Flowerfield Township last Saturday and then fled the scene.
It happened at 5:25 pm at Flatbush Road and Floating Bridge Road. A 16-year-old was behind the wheel of a Chevy headed south bound on Flatbush Road when a black passenger car, that was headed northbound, crossed the centerline, struck the Chevy, forcing it off the road.
The suspect vehicle fled northbound. Its described as possibly a 2000 Nissan Altima with black tinted windows. The driver was described as a white woman in her 20’s.
The news release doesn’t mention any injuries, but they say the suspect vehicle should have damage to right front area.
