WASHINGTON, DC (WKZO AM/FM) – Governor Gretchen Whitmer met with President Donald Trump at the White House yesterday and secured a deal for more federal funding for recovery efforts from last year’s northern Michigan ice storm.
Her press secretary, Stacey LaRouche, did not have an exact amount that will be coming to the state.
The White House pledged at least $50-million in federal disaster funding in July.
LaRouche also said Whitmer gave Trump an update on the four deadly tornadoes that hit southwest Michigan on Friday.
