PARCHMENT (WKZO AM/FM) — It’s been a stressful time in Parchment Schools where the teachers union has been working without a contract for seven months, and they have been enlisting parents to bring pressure on the Administration and School Board.
So far the board has stuck by its position that they just can’t afford what the teachers are demanding, with falling enrollment cutting into the funding they receive from the state. The district has posted their “last best offer” on their website.
Last night they packed another school Board Meeting.
If they can’t come to terms by this spring, the talks could go to mediation.
