KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety has raided an illegal indoor marijuana growing operation in the 1500 block of north Drake Road this weekend.
An investigation from a tip led them to the home near Friendship Village, just down the road from Kalamazoo Central.
Inside they found 70 plants in various stages of maturity, over five pounds of processed marijuana and a large amount of U.S. Currency, that was seized as the proceeds of sales from the illicit business.
A 49-year-old man and a 31-year-old male who is currently on parole were booked into the Kalamazoo County Jail for possession with intent to deliver, and for operating and maintaining a drug house
